I moved to Portland in 2005, and to the Buckman neighborhood the following year. I joined the BCA because I wanted to see if there was anything to this whole "think globally, act locally" thing. Turns out there is! One of my responsibilities with the BCA is to head up our Liquor Committee. The Liquor Committee works with the City of Portland and with establishments in the Buckman neighborhood that sell alcohol (both bars/restaurants and stores) to build good relationships between business owners and residents. I'm a software engineer by trade. For fun, I like to make loud rock and roll music. I play in a few bands, including Magnetic Health Factory, Mr. Howl, and the Honus Huffhines.
